StarTech.com 2.6ft (80cm) Thunderbolt 5 Cable, 80Gbps/Up to 120Gbps, 240W PD, 8K 60Hz, Certified -

Facilitate ultra high-performance connectivity between Thunderbolt 5-enabled devices

Experience reliable, ultra-high performance between Thunderbolt 5-enabled devices, supporting up to twice the bandwidth of Thunderbolt 4, 8K 60Hz video, and 240W charging over a single connection. This Thunderbolt 5 cable is ideal for high-performance laptops such as 16in MacBook Pro with M4 Pro/Max.

Enhanced Bandwidth with Boost Mode

Thunderbolt 5 delivers bidirectional bandwidth of 80 Gbps, evenly distributed across its data lanes for consistent high-speed performance in both directions. When higher display bandwidth is required, the cable's Boost Mode reallocates the data lanes, enabling 120 Gbps of bandwidth in one direction (transmit) while maintaining 40 Gbps in the other (receive). This asymmetric configuration is ideal for display-intensive tasks, such as driving multiple 8K monitors or handling high-resolution video workflows, while still supporting robust data transfer capabilities.

Seamless Compatibility

For seamless operation between Type-C Thunderbolt-enabled devices, the Thunderbolt 5 Cable is Thunderbolt-Certified for guaranteed Thunderbolt 5 performance and backward compatibility. Certified cables provide consistent, reliable performance across multiple resolutions, refresh rates, and resource-intensive applications.

Durable Design

The Thunderbolt 5 cable features a flexible TPE outer jacket that is tested to withstand 2,000 bending cycles at -/+90 degrees, and routes easily around corners and desk edges. Robust strain reliefs enable convenient positioning of the cable. The durable Nickel-plated connectors are rated to operate beyond 10,000 insertions.

Supported Thunderbolt 5 Features

This Certified Thunderbolt 5 Cable supports full Thunderbolt 5 performance:

• 80 Gbps bidirectional bandwidth, doubling the capacity of Thunderbolt 4
• 120 Gbps boost mode for display-intensive applications
• DisplayPort 2.1 Alt Mode: Up to 8K 60Hz/4K 240Hz video with DSC, HDR, and 10-bit color
• PCI Express 4.0 (64 Gbps) support for GPUs, NICs, and storage in PCIe chassis
• 240W Power Delivery EPR for charging for high-performance laptops
• Backward Compatibility with Thunderbolt 4/3, USB4 (40 Gbps), and USB 3.2 (10 Gbps)

This versatile Thunderbolt 5 cord is constructed with braided alloy shielding to minimize EMI for seamless and consistent data/video output and long-term reliable performance.
